I had a ball today from start to finish and very much appreciated the opportunity to ride. This was the furthest thing from my mind to do again. It's been 15 years, but anything's possible. Thank you to EVERYONE for letting me roll with them.

Incredible day today with @thebikeexperienceusa. 10 months ago I was lying in a hospital bed wondering if I would ever ride a motorcycle again. Today I got my answer. Although on the outside I was calm and focused (racer mentality), and not nearly as animated as my riding partner Tenesha (you could hear her yelling from across the parking lot), on the inside i was feeling ecstasy, elation, relief and freedom. Any initial nervousness was quickly blown away, as I was comfortable almost immediately. The phrase "like riding a bike" holds true for the motorized version as well! After a while I was able to pick up some decent speed and lean angle, given the confines of the parking lot we were in. The focus and technique that riding a motorcycle requires, the feeling of the wind rushing around your face and body at speed and being one with the machine made me forget about my injury for a time. I couldn't ask for a better feeling, and I can't thank Mike and all the volunteers at The Bike Experience enough for sacrificing their weekend to put on an amazing event. This made my Year!
